mk Sorting Systems announced the launch of LibDispenser, one of the most technologically advanced solutions to make materials more widely available to patrons anytime and just about anywhere. Operating as a stand-alone branch, LibDispenser
is a 24-hour, 365-days a year service solution that handles books, holds, CDs, and DVDs, borrowed or returned, at any branch location.
LibDispenser has a simple and intuitive touch screen user-interface, uses the library’s existing online catalog, and has a real-time circulation interface with the library’s ILS via SIP2 or NCIP.
LibDispenser opens up new opportunities to serve library customers in high traffic disparate locations such as railway stations,
hospitals, schools, airports, and shopping malls. In addition to being able to provide this focused type of public service, LibDispenser is also ideal for inside the library for securing access to holds and media. This adaptable and versatile solution has a base capacity of up to 910 materials (books, CDs, DVDs, and games), is 100 percent weatherproof, and is expandable as required.
