Imagine that your entire library website and catalog could be made available for easy browsing on any web-enabled mobile phone. Boopsie for Libraries offers powerful catalog search, library branch locator, reading lists, access to blogs and tweets, calendar of events, ask-a-librarian services, and other types of services for mobile devices.
With Boopsie for Libraries, staff at subscribing libraries simply fill out a few spreadsheets. In just a few days, Boopsie will provide the library with a completely mobile application. Boopsie has reduced a complex development and maintenance effort with man-years of resource requirements into an industry-leading solution.
Boopsie is ALA’s mobile partner, OCLC’s mobile solution, the mobile partner for a number of consortia, and is currently working with public and academic libraries to mobilize their services. Customers include Seattle Public Library, Los Angeles Public Library, Santa Clara County Library, University of Notre Dame,
and Brown University.
